The Cock Inn at Hanbury

Welcome to the Cock Inn at Hanbury, please allow us to introduce ourselves.

We are an easy-going, family friendly, community loving gastropub in the middle of a tiny village called Hanbury based in Burton on Trent.

We serve excellent food in a 60+ seater restaurant with breath-taking views and we pride ourselves on our quality real ales, two of which we rotate on a regular basis to keep the options fresh and exciting.

We strive to be the best around and with the business and custom on a rapid rise, we like to think we are heading in the right direction.

We are also based upon the site of a little piece of history in regards to the Fauld Crater which was caused by a huge explosion at 11:11am on Monday 27th November 1944 in an underground munitions storage depot. It was one of the largest non-nuclear explosions in history and the largest on UK soil.

You can today walk around the crater and we provide walking guides and we are happy to answer any questions you may have.
